Event Code of Ethics
How everyone at the summit is expected to act: attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers and award nominees.
- Respect and Safety. Participants must treat everyone with courtesy. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, threats, or offensive behavior of any kind are strictly prohibited both in person at the venue and on all related online channels.
- Honesty and Integrity. All information provided during registration, speaker proposals, award submissions, and applications must be accurate, truthful, and complete. Misstating professional roles, titles, or organizational affiliations is forbidden.
- Privacy and Data Sharing. Personal details will be handled securely in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws. The Organiser will not share contact information or attendee registers with sponsors or partners unless a participant voluntarily chooses to submit an individual inquiry form.
- AI Note-Takers and Recording. Session materials, audio, and live streams remain the intellectual property of the Organiser or the designated speakers. The use of AI note-takers, recording bots, or transcription tools to capture audio or video without the express consent of the participants is strictly prohibited.
- Awards Impartiality. The GAICC AI Excellence Awards are evaluated strictly on evidence against published criteria. The purchase of event passes, corporate sponsorships, professional certifications, or organizational memberships will have no influence on the judging process or final outcomes.
- Commercial Separation. Corporate sponsors have no influence over presentation content, speaker selections, or award determinations. Sessions or workshops highlighting a product or service affiliated with the Organiser will be clearly marked as such in the event program.
- Speaker Content. Presenters must deliver accurate, balanced content that clearly differentiates between fact and personal or commercial opinion. Speakers must possess all necessary rights to any third-party or client-confidential materials included in their presentations.
- Volunteer Protections. Appointed volunteers will receive clear role descriptions outlining specific tasks and reasonable hours. Volunteers will not be held to sales targets or required to purchase any product, and they will receive proper venue orientation and rest breaks.
- Removal and Enforcement. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to, or remove from the venue or stream without a refund, any individual who is disruptive, abusive, or found to be in material breach of this Code.
- Raising Concerns. Any participant who observes or experiences a violation of this Code may report the matter in confidence by emailing support@gaicc.org. Valid reports will be acknowledged within two business days and evaluated impartially by an independent contact.
