Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 21 October 2026
1. Agreement
By buying a pass for, or registering to attend, the GAICC AI Governance Summit 2027 (the summit) through this website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not complete a purchase.
If you buy tickets for other people, you must make sure they know about and accept these terms.
2. The event
The summit takes place on Tuesday 16 March 2027, 8.30 AM to 5.30 PM AEDT, at Sofitel Melbourne On Collins, 25 Collins Street, Melbourne. It is organised by the Global AI Certification Council (GAICC).
The programme, speakers and session times may change. We will publish any changes on this website. A change to the programme is not a reason for a refund.
If we need to, we may move the summit to another venue in Melbourne. Your ticket stays valid.
3. Passes and prices
- All prices are in Australian dollars.
- Early pricing closes on 21 January 2027. After that all three passes move to full price.
- There are 64 VIP seats, and when those 64 are taken, no more are released.
- You choose Standard or VIP, and you can choose Live Streaming also.
- Group gift tickets: 10% off for a table of 8. Buy 8 Standard or VIP tickets in one purchase and 10% comes off every ticket at checkout, at whichever rate applies that day.
- Each ticket admits one person. Tickets may not be resold for profit.
- If a ticket is sold at a price that is clearly wrong because of a pricing error, we may cancel the booking and refund it in full.
4. Payment
Payment is taken securely by Stripe at checkout. Your confirmation and invoice are sent to the email address you give when you book. If you believe a billing error occurred (for example, a duplicate charge), contact support@gaicc.org with your receipt details.
If you dispute a payment with your bank before contacting us, we may hold the related tickets until the dispute is resolved.
5. Refunds and cancellations
Refunds are available up to 30 days before the event. After that, tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred to another person.
Refund requests must be sent in writing to support@gaicc.org. Approved refunds are paid back to the original payment method.
6. Unforeseen circumstances
- Some events are outside our control, such as severe weather, natural disasters, public health orders, travel or public gathering restrictions, strikes, transport disruption, venue closure or safety threats.
- If one of these events affects the summit, we may postpone it, move it to another venue, or hold it online. Your ticket stays valid for the new date, venue or online event.
- If you cannot attend a new date, you can ask for a refund within 14 days of the announcement.
- If we cancel the summit and do not hold it at a later date, we will refund the price you paid for your ticket.
- We are not responsible for travel, accommodation or other costs you have paid. We recommend that you take out travel insurance.
7. Transfers and upgrades
- Tickets are transferable if you can no longer attend. Please notify our team at least 7 days before the event so we can update attendee details.
- You can upgrade from Standard to VIP, subject to availability.
8. At the summit
- Attendees must be 18 or older.
- Please bring your ticket confirmation and photo ID. We may refuse entry if we cannot confirm your booking.
- We expect everyone to treat others with respect. We may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who is abusive, disruptive or unsafe, without a refund.
- You must follow the venue's rules and the instructions of our team and venue staff.
- You are responsible for your belongings. We are not responsible for items that are lost, stolen or damaged.
- We pass dietary requirements to the venue, but we cannot guarantee that food is free from allergens. Please speak to venue staff about any serious allergy.
- Photographs and video are taken at the summit. See our Privacy Policy for how they are used.
9. Sessions, materials and recordings
- Sessions are for general information and education. They are not legal, financial or professional advice.
- Views shared by speakers and panellists are their own and are not necessarily those of GAICC.
- Presentations, materials and recordings belong to GAICC or the speakers. You may not record, copy, stream or share them without our written permission.
- A Live Streaming Pass is for the pass holder only and must not be shared.
- We are not responsible for problems caused by your own device or internet connection when watching the live stream.
- Certificates of attendance are issued by GAICC. Whether CPD hours are recognised depends on your professional body.
- Sponsors and exhibitors are responsible for their own products and services. Their presence is not an endorsement by GAICC.
10. Your details
The details you give when you book or submit a form are used to organise your attendance and to contact you about the summit. They are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy on this website.
11. Our liability
- To the extent permitted by law, GAICC is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including travel or accommodation costs, lost income or lost opportunities.
- To the extent permitted by law, GAICC's total liability to you is limited to the price you paid for your ticket.
- Nothing in these terms removes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
